18(b) How do you expect that your proposed gTLD will benefit registrants, Internet users, and others?

Prototypical answer:

We believe it is important for there to be awareness for the existence of a new .MLS TLD in order to be of benefit to Internet users. Such awareness will create new choice within the DNS for how to access and locate information about MLS® professional services or listing content that originates from MLS® Systems by users of the Internet when they are searching real estate websites. Internet users will come to know that the information on real estate .MLS websites came from a real estate board or entity that operates an MLS® System, whose members provide cooperative listing services and are required to provide accurate information, as opposed to marketing websites that simply aggregate listing content without any such assurance, whose primary goal may be to sell advertising. We expect registrants of .MLS domains that operate real estate websites will benefit over time from the increased user awareness such as through access of future .MLS websites and e-mail addresses, such that Internet users will come to view .MLS domain names as the “official” sources for true and accurate information about professional MLS® services and⁄or real estate listing content.
