i. SVR is the most recognized brand of the group of companies belonging to the Applicant. The use of the SVR brand started in 1962 in the pharmacy of Simone and Robert Veret in Picardie, France and quickly gave birth to the compagnhy Laboratoires SVR manufacturing, promoting and selling dermo-cosmetics under the SVR brand. Since then, the recognition of the SVR brand has never ceased to increase. The SVR brand became an important asset of the company Laboratoires SVR wich got organized in 2006 as follows : ALAUZIS SARL– not to be confused with the recently created SARL Alauzis which is a holding company and the director of SVR Group SAS – was created as the holding company under whose umbrella Laboratoires SVR SAS and Emulscience SAS were active compagnies in the dermatological and cosmetics industry (respectively for promotion, marketingand sell and for production and research & development). In 2011, the above mentioned group of three compagnies has been reorganized under the umbrella of the holding company SVR Group SAS (the Applicant), replacing the former Alauzis SARL (same registration number - new name). SVR Group SAS (the Applicant )is managed by the newly created company SARL Alauzis. SVR Group SAS (the Applicant)unites the companies Laboratoires SVR SAS, Laboratoires SVR France SAS, laboratoires SVR Tunisie, Laboratoires SVR Maroc, Laboratoires SVR Italia, Laboratorios SVR espana, Laboratoires SVR Belgique, SVR Cosmetic Full Services SAS, SVR Industrie SAS (Emulscience SAS), SVR Recherche SAS and SVR Distribution SAS.The Applicant, SVR Group SAS supports its subsidiaries in terms of finance, human resources, data processing, methods, legal matters, security, environment etc.
Through the activities under the umbrella of the former SARL Alauzis and the existing SVR Group SAS (the Applicant), the SVR brand has gained international exposure, and a truly international clientele in Europe, Africa, America, Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific for dermatological cosmetic products (promoted and sold by Laboratoires SVR SAS under the SVR brand) as well as for services of R&D or manufacturing of cosmetics offered to third parties by SVR Cosmetic Full Services SAS. The abovementioned Applicant’s subsidiaries use different sales and promotion channels, including pharmacies and Doctors of Medicine as well- known business customers in the field of cosmetics and are reputed in that market for their respective products and⁄or services. The proposed gTLD aims at consolidating the reputation of the SVR brand on the Internet;
ii. From the Applicant’s perspective, .SVR will bring a high degree of recognition and specialization to the currently existing name space. Where in most cases the specific connotation that has been initially given to the gTLDs (or even ccTLDs) has disappeared, the .SVR top-level domain will be unambiguous as regards the identity of the Registry Operator, the source of the content and services offered under the .SVR and⁄or the affiliation between the Registry Operator and the TLD;
iii. As mentioned in the vision ⁄ mission statement before, some of the key reasons why Applicant is applying for .SVR are:
1. Marketing and branding: reflect the Applicant’s key brand (SVR) at the top-level of the DNS’ hierarchy,
2. Safety and security, given the fact that the TLD and most if not all of the domain names registered therein will be completely or at least partially under the control of the Registry Operator;
3. Affiliation between the core SVR brand and the hundreds of product brands registered and⁄or used by SVR Group and⁄or its subsidiaries in their day-to-day business;
iv. The Applicant intends to implement the following policies and procedures with respect to the registration of domain names in the .SVR top-level domain include but are not limited to:
1. Reservation of domain names in the name of the Applicant. These names include:

a) descriptive names, referring to the actual day-to-day and long term business activities of the Applicant and⁄or its subsidiaries;
b) descriptive names, referring to the internal departments of the Applicant;
c) descriptive names, referring to the subsidiaries of the Applicant;
d) product and service brands promoted by the Applicant and⁄or its subsidiaries now and in the future;
e) etc.

2. Launch of the TLD:

a) Sunrise: allow physical persons, organizations and entities that meet the eligibility requirements in force at that point in time to choose the domain names that are identical to their trademarks;
b) General availability: other available domain names may be registered by physical persons, organizations and entities that meet the eligibility requirements in force at that point in time to choose the domain names in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.
c) Depending on the terms and conditions in force at the time of launch of the TLD, these domain names may or may not be registered in the name of the applicant for the domain name or in the name of the Applicant for the TLD (SVR Group). In any case, the Applicant reserves the right to impose additional and other restrictions from time to time at its sole discretion;

v. Given the fact that the Applicant is a company that is established in France, it is subject to both national and European privacy and data protection rules and practices.

vi. As explained in more detail under point i. of this section, The Applicant is a corporation, formally known as SARL Alauzis – not to be confused with the recently created SARL Alauzis which is a holding company and the director of SVR Group –, that has been established for several years as the mother company of among others Laboratoires SVR SAS which has been trading under the SVR brand and domain name (labo-svr.com) and which has been existing on its own for various decades. The Applicant is supporting its subsidiaries with financial, legal, strategic, technical assistance and therefore helps them to develop an important reputation in the cosmetics and health industry in Europe, Africa, America, Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific through products offers and⁄or services offers. Therefore, the Applicant has different ways in order to make existing and future clients, visitors and stakeholders aware of the (gradual) move from the group’s sole labo-svr.com and cfs-svr.com domain name to the .SVR TLD, including but not limited to:
1. Internet advertising campaigns;
2. having Internet traffic to its key domain names resolving into domain names registered in the .SVR TLD;
3. email marketing campaigns;etc.
