By using the .TCI TLD with partners and customers around the world, they can be assured that they are connected to the TCI in an accurate and secure way. There would be no more fears of phishing and internet threats and TCI customers and partners will benefit from a safer and more reliable gateway to TCI’s online services.
Having a .TCI gTLD is critical for marketing efforts as well. As the target audience are primarily outside of TCIʹs home service area, Asia Green IT System Bilgisayar San. ve Tic. Ltd. Sti. (AGITSys) needs a short and memorable TLD to ensure brand identification and recognition. TCI, being on 3 letters, is short, memorable and truly representative of the Brand. In addition, it is hoped that a .TCI gTLD will improve search results for users when search for the TCI brand offerings. These are all very real benefits for registrants, Internet users, and others.
Beyond the target audience for this TLD, we do not expect many people to use TCI domains. Since this is a brand TLD, AGITSys will be the only registrant so widespread deployment of .TCI TLD is very unlikely. We only expect to register 100 or so names. Our hope is that .TCI websites will become a trusted and regular destination on the web for our customers and technology partners, particularly in international markets.
As AGITSys will be the sole registrant so it will have complete say over who registers a name within our company. With this absolute control, we will ensure registration policies support the goals above.
The privacy offered will be total, within the rules and procedures provided by ICANN. These policies will be transparent and rigorous, modeled after successful policies implemented by currently delegated TLDs and accompanied by vigilant processes and technologies to prevent unauthorized access to information.
Privacy and security will be key elements of our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The AUP will govern how a registrant may use its registered name, with a specific focus on protecting Internet users. AUP language would specifically address privacy by prohibiting a registrant from using a domain for any activity that violates the privacy or publicity rights of another person or entity, or breaches any duty of confidentiality owed to any other person or entity. The AUP also would prohibit spam or other unsolicited bulk email, or computer or network hacking or cracking, as well as the installation of any viruses, worms, bugs, Trojan horses or other code, files or programs designed to, or capable of, disrupting, damaging or limiting the functionality of any software or hardware. We would maintain complete enforcement rights over the use of the domain name. Should a registrant find itself in breach of the AUP, we would reserve the right to revoke, suspend, terminate, cancel or otherwise modify their rights to the domain name.
